Characters from Cyberknights Classic

Max Mercer

Max Mercer is the penultimate Fixer in the New Boston Zone. He has trained countless Runners and Knights in the 14+ years he has been operating and Max is the main Contact that Knights deal with in the [Made, Not Born] tutorial campaign in Cyberknights Classic. No one truly knows how old he is as he is curt and cold, machine-like in his responses and suggestive commands. There are even rumors that Mercer is simply an AI puppeteering a cyborg body. Mercer seems to be plugged into most of the events throughout the NBZ but has never been shown to be on the bad side of history.

"I am Max Mercer. More metal than man." - Max Mercer, NBZ, 2217

Yossarian's Crew

see Yossarian, Catalina, Shimmer, Lupin, and Ion

Lucas "Tigershark" Corbin

A hero of the Second Pacific War in the late 23rd century, Lucas Corbin led a famous Matsumoto special forces unit known as the "Steel Sharks," which assassinated numerous corporate rivals during the war — leaving a lasting paranoia among targets about being caught on a boat or near a shoreline. Long since retired from active duty, Corbin now serves as head of security for Conrad Dumonde. He arranged for Dr. Sam Jaeger to secretly implant Yossarian with a Quantum Computer, and later became Yossarian's primary handler, paying the party for intelligence on the Seven Dragons and Nordic Financial Holdings and contracting them to eliminate Dr. Alan Goodman, Camilla Dumonde, and Kimberlin Dumonde on Conrad's behalf. It was later revealed that Corbin had killed the previous Cyber Knight to obtain hidden files on Camilla, then passed the knight's gear — and the flashbacks that came with it — on to Yossarian, hoping the memories would eventually unlock the missing information.

Razor

A Fixer to the Cyber Knight Yossarian "Yoss" during the events of Cyber Knight TTRPG (2020).

Started as a street fencer and worked his way up to acquiring property within the NBZ and had connections to various corporations within new Boston.

Brooklynn James

Brooklynn James is an arms dealer in the NBZ. He oversees an illegal arms nano-manufacturing facility in Ward 4. He was one of the first contacts Shimmer made after leaving the Los V gang, and is aware of Shimmer's past. Shimmer and Brooklyn had been doing business for about two years prior to the beginning of the events of the Cyberknights TTRPG (2020).

Brooklynn was relied on for some slightly advanced but very illegal gear before the Irkmine Transport Hub Heist , and periodically afterward. He often interfaced with Shimmer through a very tattooed delivery kid named Chaz.

Dublin

Presumably works for Matsumoto Global and is assumed to be of Japanese heritage, has access to rare prototypes through unknown means, which Yossarian takes advantage of following the Hover Transport Hit against Crane Tech

Dr. Kenneth Kinkle

A R&D for Crane Tech that changes assistants frequently, and is mysteriously arrested shortly before a heist Yossarian and his crew took part in at Crane Tech.

Dr. Sam Jaeger

Dr. Jaeger was a Jupiter executive who operated a small but state-of-the-art illegal clinic concealed high up in a corporate high-rise. She was given a Quantum Computer from Lucas Corbin to install in Yossarian along with orders to never tell Yossarian who or where the computer came from. Dr. Jaeger obeyed and performed the Quantum Computer surgery on Yossarian that made him a Cyber Knight. Yossarian and team returned to Dr. Jaeger to get patched up after the Irkmine Transport Heist, and to gain some basic cybernetic augmentation.

While Yossarian and party are on an excursion onto the outside of the NBZ Dome, Shimmer discovers through a newsfeed that a hovertruck slammed itself into Dr. Jaeger's clinic resulting in a major explosion. Prior to the RealFruit Safehouse Compromise, Shimmer is able to determine that Dr. Jaeger survived, although her injuries were not known.

Prior to the Assassination of Kimberlin Dumonde, Dr. Jaeger is able to perform surgery on Lupin's necrotic arm. She informs the party she is officially dead according to Jupiter and needs to stay off the radar. She stated she would likely be heading to Atlanta and not returning.

Dr. Alan Goodman ("Dr. Allgood")

A cyberware surgeon publicly known as "Dr. Allgood," operating a clinic on the ninth floor of the Fish Market district in Ward 4. Working secretly for Gabriel Dumonde, Goodman maintained multiple templated copies of himself — at least "Dr. Allgood #2" and "#3" — spread between the Fish Market and an orbital research site, and specialized in face-swap and transponder-hijack surgery. One copy performed the hot-swap that let the Seven Dragons pass off a decoy for the real Mr. Noro during his staged kidnapping; Yossarian's crew killed this version after he attacked them with weaponized nanites while they were tracing Noro's transponder. Intercepted Nordic Relay communications suggest Dr. Allgood #3's templating procedure was ultimately intended to serve Gabriel Dumonde's ("Archangel's") transfer into Camilla's body. A further, more heavily cybered copy of Goodman working directly under Gabriel was killed during the raid to rescue Camilla Dumonde.

Wolf King

A rival mercenary Cyber Knight with a long-standing, deeply personal vendetta against Yossarian predating his work for the Seven Dragons. The two first clashed shortly after Yossarian's surgery to become a Cyber Knight, an encounter so brutal Yossarian blacked out and has never learned what provoked it; Wolf King scarred out Yossarian's original eyes (later replaced with cybernetics), while Yossarian shot off Wolf King's arm with a shotgun, which Wolf King had replaced with a cyberarm. Wolf King later resurfaced commanding a Seven Dragons crew — including the hacker Digital Falcon, the cyberninjas Chickenlegs and "Ripper" (Cyberchin), and an unnamed gunslinger — protecting Dr. Alan Goodman and the vault holding Camilla Dumonde. After Yossarian foiled the Seven Dragons' second kidnapping attempt (of Kimberlin Dumonde, code-named "Fashionable," who was confirmed killed), Wolf King swore to hunt Yossarian down personally. He was killed by Yossarian's party during the raid on the Seven Dragons' warehouse vault, after Lupin turned one of his own grenades back on him.

Mr. Noro

A top Matsumoto data processor whose head-tech held crucial corporate information. Noro was abducted in a staged kidnapping made to look like Fenian gang work for a Seven Dragons ransom, with Dr. Alan Goodman surgically swapping him for a decoy before the exchange. Yossarian's crew traced Noro's true transponder, recovered him from a hospital transport bound for an interstellar shuttle, and returned him to Matsumoto custody via Lucas Corbin.

Jace Nakata

A tech smuggler and old friend of Lupin. Jace lost a shipment of augmented skill chips intended for the Yakuza placing him in debt to the criminal organization and causing Lupin a conflict of interest between his role working for Matsumoto and his personal friendship. Lupin chose to end his primary relationship with Matsumoto to protect Jace from the Yakuza. Jace has been seen working jobs with Nika Switch, an up and comer that is also the son of a crime boss. He and his pilot Enzo arranged for transport to the Erchmire Commercial Hub and associated heist.

Gabriel Dumonde

Patriarch of the Dumonde family and, at over 106 years old, a controlling shareholder in both Matsumoto and Badenhawk. Infighting among his children over succession left Xavier dead and Camilla presumed dead, and drove Conrad to turn against the rest of the family. Gabriel spent decades pursuing a plan, carried out through the Seven Dragons and operatives like Dr. Alan Goodman, to transfer his consciousness into his daughter Camilla, going so far as to have her captured and held in cryogenic stasis. Intercepted communications under the code name "Archangel" revealed that his body was failing and rejecting nano treatments even as the templating procedure meant to save him was finalized. He died peacefully three days after Camilla's rescue and revival, passing the Dumonde trust to her.

Xavier Dumonde

The eldest son of Gabriel Dumonde of Matsumoto. Died 14 years before the events of CyberKnights TTRPG (2020).

Camilla Dumonde

The second-eldest child of Gabriel Dumonde. It is oft-times suspected that her death was faked 6 years prior to the events of Cyberknights TTRPG (2020) to facilitate her to disappearance. TODO: End of story.

Conrad Dumonde

The third-eldest child of Gabriel Dumonde. He hired Yossarian through his head of security Lucas Corbin to eliminate Kimberlin Dumonde, Dr. Goodman, and prevent the reincarnation of Gabriel through his daughter Camilla Dumonde. Ultimately, Conrad was betrayed by Yossarian at the last moment, who instead chose to rescue Camilla and restore her to her position of control of the Dumonde family.

Kimberlin Dumonde

The youngest child of Gabriel Dumonde, she was never interested in Matsumoto power struggles. An avid environmentalist and socialite, she was on the orbital gleamer Daedalus’ Mistress hosting a fundraiser and party for "World Without Nano" (WWN), an organization that aimed to restore the earth's broader habitation through the use of clean nuclear energy in place of nano-reactors, when she was assassinated by Catalina and Shimmer.

Neon Rick

A Ward 4 pimp who put Shae "Shimmer" Cole to work on the streets at the age of eleven. Though Shimmer eventually bought her way free of Los Zagales, Neon Rick never accepted the loss, treating her escape as a personal insult and hunting for her ever since. He caught up with Yossarian's crew on a Ward 4 rooftop during the mission to shoot down Dr. Alan Goodman's shuttle, gassing the roof and attempting to bargain for Shimmer's return before the party drove him off; his hovertruck was shot down and he fled after Shimmer warned him never to come back.

Tessa Jammer

An Arotech data broker and the half-sister of Shae "Shimmer" Cole. Tessa's connections and cutting-edge weapons intelligence let Shimmer buy her way out of Los Zagales years earlier, a debt Shimmer feels she can never fully repay — a fact Tessa is well aware of and not shy about leveraging.

Detective Oscar Kova

A BraveStar detective and the former partner of Catalina "Cat," who saved her life during an investigation into a Yakuza extortion ring. The two remain close, with Kova periodically feeding Cat inside information — including BraveStar's file on the shootout at the Irkmine Transport Hub and, through colleague Sarah McDouglas, details on the investigation into Mr. Noro's kidnapping. He is married to a woman named Sara.

Shogo Shige and Tsuki Shige

Members of the Shige Yakuza syndicate tied to a dark chapter in Yossarian's past. Early in his career as a Cyber Knight, Yossarian worked a job alongside a young member of the family who botched it and, in a perverse sense of honor, intended to detonate a bomb in a public space full of bystanders as penance. Unable to safely stop him any other way, Yossarian killed him — a killing the Shige family has never fully accepted the explanation for, leaving Yossarian on treacherous terms with the syndicate and owing an unresolved debt.

The Zephyr

A once-powerful crime boss who ran a criminal operation in opposition to the Shige Yakuza clan. Lupin, working undercover, stole and sold encrypted data on the Zephyr's criminal dealings in an effort to dismantle her ring. The operation succeeded well enough to gut her organization; with much of her inner circle dead, she is believed to be hiding out somewhere in Ward 7.

Mama "K" (Kay)

A sharp-eyed old woman who deals tech and information at street level in the Fish Market district. Mama Kay quickly clocked Catalina as a cop despite her cover, but proved a valuable source anyway, helping Yossarian's crew track the Seven Dragons' movements through the district and later selling Shimmer surveillance footage of mercenaries asking around about her and the earlier shootout.
