Simstream Trainer room

Simstream Trainer[edit | edit source]

The SimStream Trainer is a room you can build in your Safehouse. It provides quantum simulation technology so lifelike it goes far beyond normal training. The Trainer’s immersive SimStream pods allow mercenaries to relive a mission through the Cyber Knight's quantum recordings, therefore gaining on-the-job training from the safety of the safehouse. While a mercenary is in the SimStream Trainer, they gain a portion of the Experience gained when the team completes a mission. Upgrading the module allows for more concurrent training experiences and increases the percentage of Experience acquired by the trainee.

The Tokens granted by the SimStream Trainer can be used to respec your mercs from the roster in the Barracks.

Training Bench[edit | edit source]

The Simstream Trainer houses one or more Training Benches. In the Barracks roster, click the Send to Trainer button to assign a merc to a Training Bench. The merc will remain in the bench for seven to ten days, during which they will be unavailable for Legwork or Missions. The Training Bench will simulate a Virtual Reality livestream of any Missions undertaken by the squad during that time. The Training Bench provides a livestream from the squad on-site so that any mercs in the Trainer will experience it as if they were there. At the end of the Mission, each merc in the Trainer will receive a large fraction of the Experience Points awarded by the Mission, ranging from 60% to 92% of the XP received by the actual participants depending on the upgrade level of the Simstream Trainer. Solo Missions, such as CPU Spike missions, do not provide Experience Points to mercenaries in the Trainer.

At the end of the training (seven to ten days), the merc will come out of the Training Bench. They will gain 10% Stress immediately upon entering the Training Bench. Cancelling the training does not refund the Stress. To maximize the Experience Points per gained Stress, try to line up several Missions in a row.

Training Tokens[edit | edit source]

The Simstream Trainer generates tokens which can be used for retraining a merc in a new skillset. In the Class Training screen, click the Respec button to use a Training Token. All current Talents will be removed from the merc. The merc will regain all Training Points which they have used, allowing them to train a different set of Talents and upgrades. If the merc had a secondary Class which does not require an Implant, the secondary Class will be removed, allowing the merc to train a new secondary Class. If the secondary Class requires a specific Implant, the secondary Class will remain but all Talent Points expended in the secondary Class will be refunded.

After a Respec, the merc can train whatever Talents they choose with the refunded Talent Points.
