Inventory

Inventory Screen[edit | edit source]

The inventory is where you go to sell equipment. The Market screen is used for buying. Across the top of the screen there is a set of buttons to focus on one class of equipment: weapons, mods, armor, items, cyberdecks and programs. Press f or click the "apply filters" button to focus more specifically. When you have selected an item, details about it are shown on the right side; then press spacebar or click "Sell" to complete the sale. This brings up a dialog where you enter the number you wish to sell and select the specific contact to sell to. Due to contact special abilities, some contacts may offer a better price.

Filters[edit | edit source]

Depending on which top level button you have highlighted, the contents of the filter side panel change slightly. If you have highlighted "all items" (grid icon) then you can filter by rarity, power level, and seller. To find the highest level items, slide the "min power level" filter to slightly higher numbers. If you are interested in knowing which items are sold by which contact (or which contact sells a particular item) you can use the seller checkboxes.

If you have highlighted weapons at the top, the filter also lets you select either heavy or light weapons, or you can filter down to specific weapon types. Similarly, if you have highlighted mods, you can filter specific mod slots; if you have highlighted items, you can select different item classes, and so forth.

Protip: If you have selected certain filters, and then you click on any item displayed, this unposts (removes) the filter side panel. But, it is important to observe that the item you selected, is no longer selected! Instead the upper left item in the grid is selected. Many mercenaries have clicked an item and then clicked sell without checking, resulting in selling a different item than what you intended.

The button at the top of the filter tab "ready to equip/sell" provides a different way of filtering. Normally the inventory only shows your surplus items, that is items you own which are not equipped by any mercenary. This ensures that you cannot normally sell equipment which is already equipped by a mercenary. The icon for each item shows two numbers, X/Y; this represents how many you have equipped, followed by how many you own. For example, 0/1 means you own one, but it is not equipped by any merc. 5/7 means you own 7, and 5 of them are equipped, so two would be available to sell. However, if you uncheck the "ready to equip/sell" checkbox, all items you own are displayed, including those which are equipped. In other words, it also shows items which are not ready to equip or sell, because they are already in use.

Bookmarks and bulk sell[edit | edit source]

Each item has a small flag in the upper right which is initially grey. This is a bookmark, which enables flexible grouping and bulk sell. To use it, select an item and press C or click the bookmark button. The color of the flag will cycle through blue, red, yellow, orange and magenta, then back to grey.

There is a section at the top of the filter sidebar which controls the display of bookmarked items. By default, all items are displayed regardless of whether they have a bookmark or what color it may be. You can control which items are displayed by clicking the checkmarks in the filter. For example, to display only items with a blue bookmark, uncheck "all" and check "blue". To display only items without a red bookmark, check "all" and uncheck "red".

Once you have added some bookmarks and done a selection, you can bulk sell all the visible items. Close the filter sidebar and then long press spacebar or click the bulk sell button. This does some computations for you, and then presents a preview of what will be bulk sold. For each item displayed, it will find the buyer with the highest price, and add up all the prices to give you a total. Note that high value items which can be sold for favors will be excluded from the sale. You can still sell them separately.

When using this feature, be careful! If you set some bookmarks but don't set the filter to display them, *everything in your inventory* will be sold! The preview shows the number of items that will be sold. If you expected only 5 items but it will sell 50 items, don't accept!

If you have several copies of an item, the preview includes all the copies (excluding ones that are equipped on your mercenaries). For example, if you have 8 medkits and 3 are equipped, then the other 5 will be bulk sold.

Compare[edit | edit source]

You can compare two items of similar types in your inventory. Long press C or click the compare button. Whatever item you had highlighted is now selected for compare. Click a second item and the right side of the panel will show a comparison.

At the upper right, you can see the names of the two weapons, one above the other. It is important to note which one is on top, and which one is on the bottom. For each of the comparison bars shown, the same top and bottom are used. In this screenshot, the kinblade is on top, and the e-cutter is on the bottom; therefore, it is the kinblade with 340 kinetic damage and the e-cutter with 310. The red and green colors indicate whether the top weapon is better (green) or worse (red) for that particular stat.
