Inventory Screen[edit | edit source]
The inventory is where you go to sell equipment. The Market screen is used for buying. Across the top of the screen there is a set of buttons to focus on one class of equipment: weapons, mods, armor, items, cyberdecks and programs. Press f or click the "apply filters" button to focus more specifically. When you have selected an item, details about it are shown on the right side; then press spacebar or click "Sell" to complete the sale. This brings up a dialog where you enter the number you wish to sell and select the specific contact to sell to. Due to contact special abilities, some contacts may offer a better price.
Filters[edit | edit source]
Depending on which top level button you have highlighted, the contents of the filter side panel change slightly. If you have highlighted "all items" (grid icon) then you can filter by rarity, power level, and seller. To find the highest level items, slide the "min power level" filter to slightly higher numbers. If you are interested in knowing which items are sold by which contact (or which contact sells a particular item) you can use the seller checkboxes.
If you have highlighted weapons at the top, the filter also lets you select either heavy or light weapons, or you can filter down to specific weapon types. Similarly, if you have highlighted mods, you can filter specific mod slots; if you have highlighted items, you can select different item classes, and so forth.
Protip: If you have selected certain filters, and then you click on any item displayed, this unposts (removes) the filter side panel. But, it is important to observe that the item you selected, is no longer selected! Instead the upper left item in the grid is selected. Many mercenaries have clicked an item and then clicked sell without checking, resulting in selling a different item than what you intended.
The button at the top of the filter tab "ready to equip/sell" provides a different way of filtering. Normally the inventory only shows your surplus items, that is items you own which are not equipped by any mercenary. This ensures that you cannot normally sell equipment which is already equipped by a mercenary. The icon for each item shows two numbers, X/Y; this represents how many you have equipped, followed by how many you own. For example, 0/1 means you own one, but it is not equipped by any merc. 5/7 means you own 7, and 5 of them are equipped, so two would be available to sell. However, if you uncheck the "ready to equip/sell" checkbox, all items you own are displayed, including those which are equipped. In other words, it also shows items which are not ready to equip or sell, because they are already in use.
Compare[edit | edit source]
You can compare two items of similar types in your inventory. Press C or click the compare button. Whatever item you had highlighted is now selected for compare. Click a second item and the right side of the panel will show a comparison.
At the upper right, you can see the names of the two weapons, one above the other. It is important to note which one is on top, and which one is on the bottom. For each of the comparison bars shown, the same top and bottom are used. In this screenshot, the kinblade is on top, and the e-cutter is on the bottom; therefore, it is the kinblade with 340 kinetic damage and the e-cutter with 310. The red and green colors indicate whether the top weapon is better (green) or worse (red) for that particular stat.
