Walkthrough part 1[edit | edit source]

Reveal/Hide SPOILERS

This story line requires team power level 6 or more. The storyline has a large number of stages, with multiple legwork and tactical missions. After each mission ends, there will be some delay in the timeline until another mission in the story line appears. Fill in the time with other jobs (or not).

Byron Calcotte Paige De Vail

The story line revolves around a voting bloc of shareholders in Jupiter Corporation. The story line starts with a dialog from Blur: "A Jupiter shareholder wants to discuss your services. This is a big ticket". Byron gives some background about a voting bloc and asks your help in finding the other owners.

Byron will offer three missions, which can occur in any order: a raid to steal 3 bio-verify leaks "Parasite Fee", a matrix raid to steal 4 T-Ledgers, and a solo hack to spike a CPU to get personal coordinates. The second and third missions have random names. The third mission introduces an NPC with a random name, who doesn't play a part until later.

After "Parasite Fee", there is a legwork "A Front and a Quant" which introduces a contact. That name is random, but once you complete the legwork, the contact's real name is Diato Wethers. In order to meet her, you must help her survive a randomly named siege mission as a VIP. After this mission she introduces her boss, Paige De Vail.

All the remaining missions are offered by Paige in a fixed order. The first is a solo hack job "Pandora's Suitcase" to spike a CPU at Terrapien and Sons. After that, Diato performs negotiations between Byron and Paige with two bodyguard missions, "Opening Bid" and "Governance Dust-up."

Walkthrough part 2[edit | edit source]

Reveal/Hide SPOILERS

There is a big twist! Actually Byron is a spy, and you take the side of Paige to go further. Poor Diato has been sacrificed so Paige can get ahead.

Paige asks for another solo hack against Terrapien in "Cluster Drop". She is now tracking down the NPC from mission three, who has been kidnapped; a legwork "Doubleback Strike" gives information about where that NPC is being held. "Clockwork Rescue" starts out as a mission to rescue the NPC from a prison. But, in another twist, they are not in a cell! They are being brainwashed on a medical platform, and you have to hold the platform for 4 turns until Paige arrives. Now the NPC also tragically dies and Paige gets further ahead.

A few days after this mission is complete, Paige contacts you to offer you a choice about retirement. There is plenty of explanatory text about the pro's and con's of retiring; you can save in your own save slot, but if you do choose to retire the "end credits roll" and you cannot play past that point.

In order to retire, there is "just one more mission" and it is a tough one, "Meteoric Hotdrop". Paige needs to get to a terminal deep inside a Jupiter building and access it for several turns in a row. The upper level involves bypassing the usual set of guards and cameras, but the lower level has a well protected terminal. Under time pressure, she needs to reach the terminal and click on it in six different turns (can be consecutive, need not be consecutive.) Each turn, she has multiple lines of dialog about the tricky way she is hacking the articles of governance. To succeed against the waves of reinforcements, consider sending Paige plus one or two stealthy mercs towards the terminal while having the rest of the team "go loud" somewhere else on the level, to attract the guards.

Ending slides[edit | edit source]

After you choose to retire, there is a set of ending slides which show what each merc in your team did afterwards. We believe each merc has two possible endings, with some additional text if they participated in certain missions such as Sibling Breakout. All of the slides are linked here. Obviously these are all spoilers; don't load the page if you don't want to see them.
