== Recruitment == Opportunities to recruit new mercenaries become available as the game progresses. Recruits can come from 3 sources: * Events on the Timeline--a merc recommends a former colleague. * Underworld Hub--the player can try to find a merc of a particular class. * Reward for certain missions--the team helps someone who then wants to join. Upgrading the Barracks allows more mercs to join the team. Level 1 Barracks accommodates seven (7) mercs. Since the starting team is 6 mercs, one more merc can be added to the team before the player needs to upgrade the room. At maximum, the Barracks can hold 16 mercs. Maintaining that many mercs can be difficult due to the need to obtain Experience Points, give Training, manage Stress and Hype, and pay salaries out of Mission fees. In general, a large team is not necessary, but too small a team can cause problems if multiple mercs are recovering from Injury, getting Surgery for an Implant, or otherwise unavailable for Missions.
